Maria Conlon


Maria is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she was a member of 3 division one women’s basketball national championship teams. After college she played professionally overseas for 2 years before deciding to come home. She was the assistant women’s basketball coach for the Southern CT women’s basketball team that won the division 2 national title.

In 2007, Maria was introduced to Cross-Training where she immediately fell in love with its ability to stimulate her competitiveness as well as her passion for meeting people and building relationships. She loves the community that Cross-Training can inspire and watching people accomplish things that they never thought were possible.

Maria is Managing Partner at Maffe Financial Group, Head Coach for the Notre Dame of Fairfield high school girls basketball team, and the proud cofounder of SWAGG Cross Training.

Liz Ruskay


Liz Ruskay has been an avid sports fan her entire life.  A tri-sport athlete in high school, she values and understands the importance of teamwork, camaraderie and perseverance.  
Liz has forged a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and is also a wife and mother. She understands first hand the challenges of balancing ones health with the demands of daily life.
In 2016, Liz discovered her love of Cross-Training.  In addition to the obvious health benefits Cross-Training offers, she was more impressed with her Cross-Training community and the strength and support she received from everyone she met.  It was the X factor that was missing from every other fitness program she tried.  
Liz hopes and is passionate about providing that same experience to all SWAGG members.  And although she still considers herself a Cross-Training “work in progress” she very much looks forward to improving side by side with SWAGG members. 

Scott Putetti

Head Coach

Scott has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2009. In his 9 years of experience he was a Senior Sports Performance Coach at Integrated Athletic Performance. His responsibilities included leading small group adult fitness training programs as well as training athletes ranging from youth, middle school, high school and college.

Scott has experience with teaching linear acceleration, multidirectional, maximum velocity and transitional running mechanics. He was responsible for the program design and implementation of strength and power development programs for all athletes.

Scott was part of a team that trained some of the best in Connecticut, including current athletes playing at UCONN, Boston College, Temple, Merrimack and other D1, D2 and D3 Universities.

In order to become more well-rounded, Scott became a CrossFit Level 1 Coach where he is able to share his knowledge and educate his clients in all aspects of Training.

Jake McQuillen

Assistant Head Coach

Jake grew up in Western Pennsylvania playing and coaching sports. After graduating, he needed something to replace his love of competition. One Cross-Training class was enough for him to be hooked, and left him wanting to learn more.

After completing his Level 1, Jake knew he wanted to use his passion for helping others and starting coaching. Coaching Cross-Training classes has allowed Jake to help people achieve their personal goals and live healthier and longer lives. He has experience programming for and training high school and collegiate athletes in Western Pennsylvania, as well as taken the CrossFit Scaling course to help athletes of all skills. 

Jake has gone on to receive his Level 2 Certificate, and loves the continued learning that Cross-Training provides.

Mike Kellner


Mike graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from West Chester University in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Athletic Training with a concentration in Sports Medicine from California University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Upon graduating Mike worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at both Rutgers University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mike worked with a variety of sports which included Wrestling, Football, Soccer and Softball at the Division 1 level. 

In 2013, as Mike found and started Cross-Training he realized quickly that he loved helping others achieve the best version of themselves. Mike received his Level 1 Crossfit Certification and started training others. Mike specializes in injury prevention/ rehabilitation, Cross-Training and Youth Sport Training.

Mike is currently enrolled in the University of Bridgeport Chiropractic program. Upon graduation he plans on pursing a career as a Sports Chiropractor.
